The Association of Community Media in Kyrgyzstan

Website Design, Branding & Communications Materials
Background
In 2014 the Association for Community Media in Kyrgyzstan was created to act as a legal body to protect free speech and provide a framework for developing community radio stations and media centers around Kyrgyzstan. Naturally, the need for a website soon followed. The website was to work as a place for sharing resources with members around the country and as a tool for citizen journalists to upload live news stories from their mobile phones directly from their community.
My Contributions
I served as the graphic designer and communications specialist on developing the visuals and features.  I partnered with a local NGO in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan called KLOOP media and collaborated with their developers.  This site was launched in 2014 and has since been updated and changed.  My design below was the original to what is now Kyrgyzmedia.kg.

Helpful links for context:

The photos below were taken from an international media conference in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to launch The Association of Community Media in Kyrgyzstan. The conference was sponsored and attended by UNESCO, GIZ, Deutsche Welle, and Internews members.

I designed the materials, presented the website design, and discussed the features and how it will play a key role in developing The Association for Community Media.

Since the site was launched in 2014, it has undergone several updates and changes.
